A family-owned canoe rental shop run by nice people. Hasn't reached the Internet-age yet, but who cares when you're paddling around the sites from the Revolutionary War? Perfect for mellow summer afternoons.
This is a small, family owned business, and the owner is very nice. The rates are fair, and I highly recommend floating down the Sudbury River if you have never done it. I have lived in Concord for over 5 years and cannot believe I hadn't done this sooner. Going when the sun is setting is beautiful, and it's a relaxing float. Highly recommend doing this!
The friendly staff, convenient location and variety of paths to explore make this boat house a real gem. The relaxed, family owned nature of the business makes me keep coming back. You can explore the Concord, Sudbury and Assabet rivers and have what feels like a wilderness experience in the suburbs. Lots of turtles, herons, and I have also spotted deer. I have rented kayaks there that have been easy to pilot and maneuver. Rates are very reasonable.
