2. The order of serving food.
Been here four times so far. First two times it was for a quick breakfast to go. Took a while but the food was good. Next two times I came for lunch and dinner with my girlfriend. Both times we waited almost 20 minutes to be served. Seated for 20 minutes. This last time a server didn’t even take our order, the guy doing trivia did. The food is pretty good, not worth the headache of coming here though. And to top it off, there’s no cell service or WiFi in there, so you can’t even kill time with your phone while you wait around 40-50 minutes for food.
Wonderful atmosphere with nice decor and an ample service staff to cater to the hustle and bustle of the establishment. The service is erratic depending on the time of day, and the quality of food is a strong 4 out of 5.
-If you forget to enter something, apologize and ask the customer if s/he is still interested. I understand how busy a restaurant can be, but if an error occurred, apologize and fix it asap.
1. Bartender forgot to enter an item on our order and did not offer an apology.
Staff can be great or substandard, particularly the younger waitresses who are aggressive about taking tables, but have insufficient training or skills to service them. Attribute inconsistencies in service to erratic, inefficient, management. Be prepared to shrug off rude or disinterested servers - it's kind of pot luck when it comes to service, counter or table.
Lunchtime seems to be their busiest time, so expect a little wait time, whether dining in or doing take-out.
My first experience here was with my daughter for breakfast. It was absolutely wonderful with the quality of food (minus the hollandaise which I'm surprised you don't make from scratch) and the service was impeccable. I was very happy with how our first visit was, I wanted to bring my wife with me to find another great "go to" restaurant for the weekends. Well, this experience killed that.
Three major issues with my experience today:
-You should try your best to serve the food in order of when they were placed. I had 2 parties receive their food before I did. I had an easy 3 entree order with nothing special. There shouldn't of been any reason why you're serving food out of order. I was told there were separate kitchens cooking our meals so I'm only assuming there may have been a communication issue, but that still isn't a reason. Again, apologize and fix it asap.
Great ambience and food. Sandwiches are ample & served on terrific, fresh baked bread. Try their sweet, home baked, cornbread- it's DELICIOUS!
In downtown Concord, take time for breakfast, lunch, and or snack here in Main Streets. There are so many good choices of sandwiches, chowder, salads and more. Their bake goods are so delicious. I love having an afternoon piece of Key lime pie. They also have live music to enjoy. The food is prepared so well.
-Being a recent Sous Chef at a reputable restaurant, I have a good estimate of portions. 1 1/2 tablespoon for a $3.00 add on is ridiculous.
3. Portions for add ons.
We decided on the spot to eat here. The seating hostess/waitress me toned the two events that same night, and that reservations were booked 2.5 hours out. She suggested we good our food "to go" and sit in the enclosed patio off the back, offering to serve our family the same as if we were in the main part of the restaurant. The food was great, the service was excellent, and the 8 person patio space was quiet and quaint adding to the ambiance. We felt taken care of and appreciated for it being so busy and booked out. High praise.
Amazing live music is offered weekly; with limited seating capacity, expect the place to be packed, but, worthwhile.
