I ordered a vegetable omelet with home fries, toast and bacon. The potatoes were very greasy, the omelet did not taste like real eggs, but as if it was maybe paired with egg product or some kind of filler to stretch it. The bacon was nicely cooked. The bread was definitely not Nashoba Bakery, but simply store bought similar to Market Basket. I woke up the next day, and I retained the memory of such a bad tasting breakfast that I will not return to a place I used to love going to.
Good food and a diverse menu with some seasonal changes. They also have some good local draft options on tap and a good brunch menu. A good casual place to stop with family and friends.
We chose this local (for us) place because we had heard good things from neighbors and it was really terrific. The place is quite large but we found dining at 7:30 on a Saturday evening to be very quiet. The space is broken up by the interesting architecture so you don't know how large it is until to look around. I'm not sure why they were so quiet as the food is terrific, the bar is cosy and good sized, and the people couldn't have been more lovely! Our server, Tyler, was knowledgeable and attentive and offered good advice on all parts of the menu. The four of us shared three appetizers - buffalo cauliflower, wings, and calamari - all amazing. The grilled and glazed wings were some of the best I've ever had! The main dishes, scallops, steak, and crab cakes were also quite good. They offer some desserts in small glass custard cups that Tyler served as "a flight" and we shared them. Again delicious. Couldn't have been more pleased with our evening out and we'll be back to the Trails End again soon!
I had the pecan crusted chicken salad. Wonderful blend of flavors. Would get it again. I like my salad with less dressing though so next time I'll ask for the dressing on the side.
I used to love this place before the recent new management change. I was unable to have half & half with my coffee (11:00 am on a Friday); they had 'unfortunately run out.' Whatever happened to going to a supermarket or convenience store to 'get some more?'
The best swordfish steak I have ever had! Wait staff very knowledgeable about their products, and share their passion for great food and drink.
