The man at the desk did not seem like a people person and was unable to answer my questions about the early settlers of concord. He pointed me toward the first room. Although the first room was about the early settlers, it was very general and I did not find what I was looking for. However, The museum itself was nice. Well organized and interesting. It was family friendly. If you are more interested in the late 1700's and 1800's this museum is for you.
My tween daughter and I visited here on July 6 - it was right at opening and we had the place to ourselves and stayed for about 15 minutes.
A remarkably well-done regional museum. Inclusive storyline encompasses African-Americans, and not just those who were enslaved people--and uses appropriate language. Welcome effort to draw young people's interest and involvement with family guides. Special exhibit on Thoreau's Journals was really excellent.
Make sure you stop to see the Lantern hung in the North Church. Everyone was very helpful and informative.

A great immersive historical experience with rotating exhibits on top of their core displays. Great for out of town visitors and kids older than 10.
